Literary Braille Transcription

The Vendor is required to provide all labor necessary to provide formatting, transcription, tactile creation and proofing services to produce braille versions of literary state-adopted instructional resources on an as-needed basis.
- Transcriber(s) Certifications:
• Literary Braille Transcribing Certification issued by the Library of National Braille Institution, Library of Congress Federation for the Blind or Library of National Federation of the Blind.
• Braille transcribers certified before 2016 should provide a Letter of Proficiency from the National Library Service in Unified English Braille (UEB) or proof of registration/wait list with certification provided upon receipt.
- Proofreader(s) Certifications:
• Literary Braille Proofreading Certification issued by the Library of Congress Federation for the Blind, Library of National Federation of the Blind or National Braille Institution.
• Braille proofreaders certified before 2016 should provide a Letter of Proficiency from the National Library Service in Unified English Braille (UEB) or proof of registration/wait list with certification provided upon receipt.
