The Vendor is required to provide translation and transcription for services including onsite and remote interpretation (via phone and video), American Sign Language (ASL), and multilingual document translation.
- The importance of real-time interpretation platforms, data analytics capabilities, and flexible service availability, including after-hours and emergency coverage.
- Requirement:
• Comprehensive language access services to department, including onsite interpretation, remote interpretation, ASL services, document translation, and project management.
• Onsite interpretation shall include community, legal, and simultaneous settings with a 2-hour minimum per engagement, in languages such as Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Vietnamese, American Sign Language (ASL), etc., to be scheduled and confirmed in advance.
• Remote interpretation services shall include 24/7/365 over-the-phone interpreting (OPI) for on-demand and pre-scheduled sessions, and video remote interpreting (VRI) available on-demand or by appointment, including for ASL.
• Both remote and onsite ASL services in compliance with the Americans with disabilities act (ADA), supporting scheduled and urgent same-day requests.
• Document translation services must include accurate, culturally appropriate, and professionally formatted translations between English and a wide range of target languages, using technology to ensure consistency and terminology management.
• Rush and after-hours translation services must also be available.
• All translation and interpretation projects through effective project coordination, including file preparation, appropriate team assignments, timeline monitoring, and final quality assurance reviews.
