The Vendor is required to provide in-person and over the phone foreign language interpreting services on an as-needed basis.
- Interpreting Services:
- The vendor will perform on-site and in-person interpreting services and telephone interpreting conferences.
- On-site interpreting services: Provide multilingual spoken language interpreting (simultaneous and/or consecutive) services in a variety of settings that include, but are not limited to:
• Interviews
• Group trainings
• Assessment services
• Off-campus field trips
• School performances
• Award ceremonies
• Administrative services – i.e. expulsion hearings
• Graduations
• Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) meetings
• Parent/teacher conferences
• School-wide events
- Provide over-the-phone, multilingual spoken language interpreting services, simultaneously and/or consecutively in a variety of settings that include but are not limited to:
• Parent/teacher phone conference
• Health services
• Counseling and school social worker assistance
• Dorm/evening staff assistance
- Interpreters must demonstrate proficiency levels that range from the ability to speak the assigned language with sufficient structural accuracy and vocabulary, to participate effectively in formal and informal conversations on practical, social, and professional topics to the maximum proficiency level with specific subject-matter or technical level competency.
- Any and all replacement interpreter(s) must meet the above listed qualifications and will be subject to approval of the department Contract Monitor before the replacement interpreter(s) provide services.
- Furnish all labor, personnel, material, transportation, travel, fuel, parking, insurance and/or any other overhead expenses necessary to perform all the work required for foreign language interpreting services.
- Contract Period/Term: 1 year
