• Translation from english to Spanish.
• Translation from english to additional languages as identified by the city, including but not limited to Arabic, French, and Vietnamese.

3. Standards and qualifications
• The vendor must have qualified translators who are fluent in both english and the target languages, and have demonstrated experience in translation.
• Translators must hold industry-recognized certifications such as those from the american translators’ association (ATA) or similar credentialing bodies.
• Adherence to the iso 17100 standard for translation services, which outlines the requirements for all
processes and resources involved in providing translation services.
• Compliance with local, state, and federal accessibility standards to ensure that translated materials
meet all regulations regarding language access.

• All translations must be completed accurately and culturally appropriate for the target audience.
• Ensure that all translations maintain the original meaning and intent of the source document.
• Proofreading and editing of translated materials must be included to ensure quality and accuracy.
2. Timeliness
• Turnaround time for all documents shall not exceed 5 business days unless otherwise negotiated to
accommodate larger documents or projects.
• Emergency translation services must be provided within a maximum of 24 hours for urgent requests.
3. Communication
• The vendor must designate a project manager as the primary point of contact for all translation
requests and queries.
