The vendor is required to provide for sign language interpreting services for university disability access services (DAS).
- Requests for sign language interpreting services includes, but are not limited to:
• Students and perspective students
• Academic advisors
• Student clubs and organizations
• Student support services
- The types of events requiring interpretation include, but are not limited to:
• Academic courses (face-to-face and online)
• Campus events
• Graduations
• Concerts
• Sporting events
• Theater performances
• Residence hall meetings
• Job fairs and career events
• Work shifts
• Field placement
• Internships
• Practicums
• Medical and mental health appointments
• Other activities on campus as needed.
- Proposers must provide the following required services:
• Asl/english interpretation services.
• In-person and remote and virtual interpreting for university avenue, university -cascades in bend, Hatfield marine science center in Newport, eastern university in la Grande, university in e-campus locations and other locations as needed.
• On-demand services available for last-minute requests or urgent needs.
• Specialized interpretation for specific fields such as stem, medical, legal, technical, and mental health,
using the associated terminology as needed.
• Interpreting services available during academic times (m-f, 8:00am-5:00pm PT) with the ability to extend availability during evenings or weekends.
