Translation and Interpretation Services

The Vendor is required to provide translation and interpretation services.
- Provide translation and interpretation services for the following languages;
• Spanish
• Chinese
• Russian
• Yiddish
• Bengali
• Korean
• Haitian Creole
• Italian
• Arabic
• Polish
• French
• Urdu
• American Sign Language (“ASL”) – interpretation only.
- Translation Services
• Proposer shall provide written translation of documents provided agency.
• Proposer shall be capable of working with various document formats including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Adobe PDF, web format (HTML, XML, CSS, etc.) or analog written materials.
• Proposer will provide all requested translations in the format(s) requested by Battery Park City Authority, including Microsoft Word, print-ready Adobe PDF, or Illustrator .AI file.
• For each translation project, the Proposer shall provide a written confirmation including the anticipated hours, cost, and delivery date.
• Proposer shall provide graphic design services in order to ensure document formatting the same or as similar as possible.
- Interpretation Services
• Interpreter services to translate verbal or other communications either thorough phone, in person, online audio-visual conference, or other electronic means.
• Proposer shall provide a capable translator within the following timeframes:
1. Phone, online audio-visual conference, or other electronic means: 24 hours’ notice.
2. In person: 72 hours’ notice.
- Requirements for All Services
• Proposer will perform all services in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal laws.
• Proposer will be lawfully authorized and possess all licenses to perform all required work.
- Contract Period/Term: 5 years
