The vendor is required to provide american sign language (ASL), langue des Signs Québécoise (LSQ) and deaf interpretation services to offenders for parole board hearings, medical or mental health assessments, as well as nonspecific meetings between offenders and csc staff or contractors
- To provide multiple resources (interpreters) to assist with consecutive and simultaneous interpretation services both in-person and virtually in the state.
- A minimum of three (3) interpreters including: one (1) american sign language (ASL) interpreter, one (1) langue des signs Québécoise (LSQ), and one (1) deaf interpreter must be available at all times.
-The contractor must perform all work in english essential.
- Provide the following consecutive and simultaneous interpretation services at the technical authority’s request:
• American sign language (ASL) interpretation
• Langue des Signs Québécoise (LSQ) interpretation
• Deaf interpretation
- For ASL, LSQ and deaf interpreter resources, the contractor must ensure that the individual resources are certified and in good standing with interpreters or other provincial equivalents.
- The individual resources provide interpretation services impartially
- The interpretation is complete, accurate and faithful to the original message with respect to meaning, free of omissions, additions, or distortions.
- When in-person (onsite) interpretation services are required, the contractor must provide the qualified resource closest to the location where services are required.
- Provide virtual (offsite) interpretation service via teleconference or video conference from the contractor’s place of business, where confidentiality can be guaranteed, such as an enclosed boardroom or office.
- Contract Period/Term: 3 years
