The Vendor is required to provide In-person American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter services for off-site healthcare encounters at various predetermined medical facilities located throughout state.
- The services shall be performed at an off-site encounter at various pre-determined medical facilities located throughout the state.
- Provide In-person ASL interpreter services on an as-needed basis to county for incarcerated persons who are hearing impaired or deaf.
- The ASL interpreters assigned by the must be certified in interpreting from spoken English to ASL (interpretation) and from ASL to spoken English (transliteration).
- ASL Interpreter services shall be available twenty-four (24) hours, seven (7) days a week, which includes holidays and/or anytime outside of normal business hours.
- The hourly rate will begin when the interpreter signs in at the medical facility where services are scheduled to take place and will end upon completion of services; rounded to nearest half hour (30 minutes).
- An unpaid one-half hour lunch break will be allowed for an eight (8) hour work period
- Interpreters are paid for the entire time they are booked. For example, in case of an 8- hour assignment, two interpreters will be booked for eight (8) hours each and sixteen (16) hours of interpretation will be invoiced by the Contractor.
