The Vendor is required to provide remote video and audio interpretation for spoken and American sign language and related services, on twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week basis to state.
- Language services provide access to interpretation services (spoken and sign language) and coordination of translation services (written language), which creates equitable language access through professional interpretation services and translation services, which helps bridge language barriers between health care providers, physicians and staff; and patients/clients/residents who do not share a common language.
- Improve accessibility for limited English proficient individuals and deaf, deaf-blind and hard of hearing individuals by providing greater access to dedicated professional interpreters with 24/7 support;
- Enhance patient safety and satisfaction using customer surveys and key performance indicators to augment and improve quality of care and health outcomes of patients; and
- Implement costs saving initiatives and/or group discounting programs through aggregation of efforts to achieve better overall value for agency.
- Expect approximately 90,000 interpreting service estimated number of calls and up to (1.5 million interpreting hours or minutes) per year; and
- Provide Over-The-Phone Interpretation (“OPI”) Services and Video remote interpretation (“VRI”) Services, for languages
- available to receive and dispatch interpreting service requests twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week, via toll-free telephone number, online, or via email;
- The service shall include at no additional costs to agency the following components:
• Proponent’s standard training services, resources and materials;
• Toll-free over-the-phone customer support available twenty-four (24) hours per day each calendar day for the term of this agreement;
• Online service-usage reporting; and
• Unlimited access to agency using secured links/interfaces/lines dedicated to agency available 24/7.
- The service shall be all-inclusive of labour, material costs, equipment, installation and set-up and all other overhead, including any fees or other charges required to provide the services.
