- American sign language interpretation (ASL) and requirements
• The contractor must demonstrate proficiency in interpreting spoken language to sign language and interpreting sign to spoken language for small to medium-sized meetings, presentations, and open discussion.
• As evidence of interpretation proficiency, the contractor shall be required to interpret a brief presentation and a discussion between multiple parties.
• Certified by the registry of interpreters of the deaf.
• As proof of meeting this requirement, the contractor shall provide with its proposal a copy of the certification.
• Provide american sign language interpretation services at all agency advisory council meetings.
• There will be 12 advisory council meetings scheduled throughout the contract.
• Provide american sign language interpretation services at all pre and post agency advisory council meetings.
• There will be 12 per advisory council meetings and 12 post advisory council meetings scheduled throughout the contract.
• Provide american sign language interpretation services at ad hoc meetings, given that the program provides three business days’ notice.
