The Vendor is required to provide onsite real-time or remote real-time interpreting services.
- Provide services aiding individuals employed by the University who require qualified interpreting services to access spoken communication.
- Services may be needed for classes, meetings, and also for various events such as graduation, athletic events, and/or other events and ceremonies.
- Provide for in-person interpreting services with both agencies and individuals.
- The person or company must have the ability to schedule all received requests; the ability to reach out to multiple providers due to unavailability of any provider; relay information back to the initial requestor of services and others as needed; and manage the invoicing and separate fund accounts for the various accommodation services taking place on campus.
- This includes the coordination and scheduling of all on-site sign language interpreting, all VRI, CART, and captioning services.
- All interpreting may be done remotely via the web, on-site, or via another means that yields the desired captioned access or materials and as requested by university. However, for ASL interpreting the preferred choice for delivery is in-person when possible.
- Accurate real-time interpreting is expected. Summaries or notes will not be accepted.
- If a captioned service was provided, a typed and unedited transcripts of the real-time event must be provided via email or electronic access immediately following the class/event for which the service is provided.
