In-Person Interpretation Services

The Vendor is required to provide in-person interpretation services to "non-English" and "native language" may potentially include all languages such as, but not limited to: American sign language (ASL), Spanish, Russian, Bulgarian, Bosnian, Romanian, Arabic, Burmese, Farsi, Karen, Mai, Nepali, Serbo Croatian, Swahili, Turkish, Ukrainian, etc.
- Interpreting services
•    Provide interpreting services consisting of on-site face-to-face and written documents to verbal as requested by the department to individuals, families, or children referred for mental health services.  
•    Interpreting must be provided:
o    From English to non-English and non-English to English.
o    In the native language of the referred individual, their parents and guardians, family, or child.
o    In a culturally appropriate manner. 
o    At meetings such as mental health intake interviews, therapeutic interventions, court-involved meetings, and other clinically oriented interactions with the referred individual, family, or child.
o    The interpreter services must be provided at various locations that may include, but are not limited to: private residences, detention facilities, state hospitals, department offices or another professional office, etc.
o    For written documents to verbal for instances where the interpreting of treatment plans and other paperwork are needed.
o    Via zoom, WebEx, or other video conferencing system if requested by the department.
•    Travel to all locations within the state as required for performing the interpreting services
o    Travel must be primarily within region 3 and region 4. 
o    Travel is required outside a twenty-five (25) mile radius of interpreter’s location, travel time may be invoiced to the department according to the cost and billing procedure.
o    Respond to interpreting requests within twenty-four (24) hours of receiving either a written or verbal request from the department staff.
