English Language Development Framework Services

The Vendor is required to provide facilitate a comprehensive curriculum review and support the design and implementation of a formal, standards-aligned English language development (ELD) framework.
- Summer professional learning and alignment
• Summer workshop to build teacher’s understanding and application of the WIDA ELD standards framework, 2020 edition into English language instruction.
• Facilitate alignment of the current ELD instructional resource to the WIDA ELD standards framework, 2020 edition by creating a scope and sequence.
- Academic year unit development and feedback loops (August 2026 – May 2027)
• Facilitate unit writing on a cycle that stays ahead of the previously developed pacing.
• Apply systems of soliciting and applying feedback to future writing and refinement of units.
• As-needed support: provision of ongoing virtual consultation and coaching support, tailored to the needs of project coordinators and district staff
- Objectives
• Develop a deep, shared understanding of the WIDA ELD standards framework components.
• Create an ELD scope and sequence across grade levels and courses focused on WIDA standards rather than on a prescribed sequence of the existing district curriculum ELD resource.
• Develop a system for soliciting and applying feedback to the development and refinement of instructional units.
