The Vendor is required to provide American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting Services.
- Provide in-person certified sign language interpreting services on an “as-needed” basis to meet the language access needs of participants in agency.
- Provide in-person consecutive and simultaneous sign language interpreting services as part of the language access framework to Deaf, Deaf Blind, Deaf Disabled, Hard of Hearing, and Late-Deafened (DDBDDHHLD) applicants, employees, and participants in Departments’ and Offices’ sponsored activities, including but not limited to, public meetings, trainings, conferences, and sight translations.
- Provide one or more in-person certified sign language interpreters for current and prospective agency Departments’ and Offices’ applicants, employees, and participants in a variety of situations, which may include, but are not limited, to conferences, meetings, and trainings.
- The primary purpose to provide sign language interpreting services for persons who are DDBDDHHLD.
- For requests of longer than one hour in duration, two sign language interpreters (a team) may be required. Communication Access Services (CAS) Coordinators shall utilize standard practices within the interpreting profession to determine if a second sign language interpreter is required.
