The vendor is required to provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation services for university students, as well as close relatives and guardians of current or prospective students, during fiscal year 2027.
- Services shall support scheduled academic activities, university-sponsored events, and other university-related functions requiring ASL interpretation.
- Real-time ASL interpretation for, including but not limited to:
• Classroom instruction, including lectures, laboratories, discussions, and other instructional activities;
• Academic advising appointments and required student support services;
• University-sponsored events, including commencement ceremonies, performances, orientations, recruitment events, and campus-wide programs;
• Meetings and communications involving close relatives and guardians of current or prospective students when interpretation services are required.
- Interpreters must possess nationally recognized credentials, such as registry of interpreters for the deaf (RID) certification or equivalent, or provide documented evidence of comparable education, training, and professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience providing ASL interpretation in higher education settings is strongly preferred.
- Annual service volume is estimated at approximately 800 to 1,200 hours of interpretation services.
