The Vendor is required to provide written translation services and other services to enhance and facilitate access and participation by limited English proficient (LEP) individuals to department programs and services.
- Languages
1. Primary languages
• Translation of written documents such as forms, web pages, marketing and outreach materials, correspondence, notices, reports, training materials, and other public facing or internal communications.
• Translation of content in various electronic formats, including Microsoft office products, pdfs, websites and other digital platforms.
• Desktop publishing (DTP) and formatting of translated materials in various electronic formats to preserve the layout, appearance, functionality and accessibility of the source document.
• Standard, expedited, and urgent translation services as requested by the department.
2. Secondary services:
• Editing, proofreading, and revision of previously translated materials.
• Independent linguistic review and quality assurance of translations produced by the contractor, the department, or third parties.
• Translation quality evaluation (TQE) using multidimensional quality metrics (MQM) or comparable industry standards to assess human-translated, machine translated, and machine translation post-edited (MTPE) content.
• Machine translation post-editing (MTPE) services, when authorized and requested by the department.
