The Vendor is required to provide interpreters and written professional translations for individuals and groups with limited English proficiency and who are deaf or hard of hearing that are receiving county services and interacting with the county.
- Requirement:
• Readily available, professionally competent health care interpreters for prescheduled and on-demand on-site/in-person, over-the-phone, video remote, and written professional translation.
• Readily available interpreters across a wide range of languages.
• Certify that their interpreters and subcontractors meet the standards as qualified and certified health care interpreters and follow the procedures for testing, qualification and certification as established by the state health council on health care interpreters and the authority.
• Adherence to the national council on interpreting in health care (NCIHC) national standards of practice for interpreters in health care.
• Preference for health care interpreter proposers currently contracted with the local pacific source community solutions and health care interpreter proposers that directly bill the current authority health plan/Medicaid.
• Ability to allow multiple access codes for county scheduling and billing.
