The Vendor is required to provide interpreter contractors that would bring methodological consistency, linguistic expertise, and quality assurance across multiple languages.
- Interpreters must be accredited before they can be assigned to hearings, which includes successful completing of language testing.
- Tasks
• Complete language testing for one or both of the first official languages (English and French).
• Ensure their testing materials are accessible.
• Respond to work order requests within forty-eight (48) hours
• Provide agency with completed language test results within ten (10) business days from accepting a work order request.
• Maintain a quality assurance process that ensures that languages tests are tools are continuously updated and of high quality.
• Provide any additional notes on inconsistencies observed or challenges encountered with the language testing.
• Ensure that all requested language test results are included in the work order sent to interpreter services program (ISP).
• Include in the work order the name of the language testing evaluator who certified the language tests results.
• Identify the list of evaluators provided to ISP.
