The Vendor is required to provide a comprehensive, on-site, and off-site employee assistance program (EAP) for use by qualified university employees and dependents.
- Employee assistance program shall encompass the provision of short-term counseling related to alcohol and drug abuse, legal problems, job-related conflicts, health, personal and family relationships, and financial problems, emotional and behavioral problems, all of which may adversely affect an employee’s on-the-job performance.
- The EAP contractor shall act solely as an assessment, short-term counseling, and referral service, directing employees and their dependents to the appropriate certified or accredited counseling programs.
- EAP counseling involvement with employees and dependents shall be limited each term of coverage (university fiscal year) to three (3) counseling sessions per employee (or dependent, as applicable) unless otherwise approved through university employee relations.
- EAP contractor shall offer a wide variety of services to university employees and dependents in two broad categories: (1) program counseling and clinical counseling, and (2) program management.
- Consultation services shall include such services as initial program development, advice regarding ongoing operation issues, regular or periodic clinical counseling, and design EAP evaluation plans.
