The Vendor is required to provide performance based billing audit is to evaluate the efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of the county's billing processes and systems.
- Requirement:
1. Initial assessment and planning
• Conduct an initial meeting with county officials to understand the current billing processes, systems, and objectives.
• Develop a detailed audit plan outlining the scope, methodology, and timeline for the audit.
2. Data collection and analysis
• Collect and review all relevant billing data, including invoices, payment records, and system logs.
• Analyze the data to identify patterns, discrepancies, and areas of inefficiency.
3. Compliance review
• Evaluate the county's billing processes for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices, including but not limited to GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) and GASB (governmental accounting standards board) guidelines.
4. Performance evaluation
• Assess the performance of the current billing system in terms of accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmark the county's performance against industry standards.
5. Recommendations and reporting
• Provide a detailed report summarizing the findings of the audit, including identified issues and areas for improvement.
• Offer actionable recommendations to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of the county's billing processes.
• Present the findings and recommendations to county officials in a formal meeting.
6. Implementation support
• Assist the county in implementing the recommended changes, including process re-engineering, system upgrades, and staff training.
• Provide ongoing support and monitoring to ensure the successful implementation of the recommendations.
