The vendor required to provide delinquent tax collection services for include:
• Enforce by suit, or otherwise, the collection of all delinquent taxes, penalty, and interest owed to college.
• No suit shall be filed to collect a tax on real property unless a title search has been conducted on the property.
• Before filing a delinquent tax suit on real property, the attorney shall provide the collector with a copy of the title search that has been completed on the property
• The designated tax collection entity for each county shall furnish all necessary delinquent tax information to the awarded firm.
• Intervene on behalf of college in all suits for delinquent ad valorem taxes filed by any other taxing unit or attorney on property located within in boundaries.
• Provide legal assistance and opinions to college and the tax assessor-collector regarding any problems involving ad valorem taxes within 5 to 10 working days.
• Provide a website and posts tax sale property listings for the benefit of the public and provide internet accessible property tax sale and resale information over the internet.
• Provide your 1-800 telephone number for customer service and include the number on all correspondence to delinquent tax accounts
• Prepare and send notices to delinquent taxpayers to foreclose tax liens and otherwise facilitate collection of delinquent taxes.
• Shall sell all properties seized or ordered sold pursuant to foreclosure of a tax lien.
• Able to receive payments for delinquent taxes over the internet with the use of credit cards and over the counter with the use of the credit cards and ability to use the internet bank charge system
• Advise agency on legal issues that arise in the process of delinquent tax collection and any other legal services offered.
