The Vendor is required to provide for executive director services.
- Interpret, implement, and administer federal and state statues and administrative rules to ensure compliance and protect consumers.
- Provide Leadership to the Board to enhance operations.
• Advise the Board of laws, rules, issues, investigations, and all other aspects to keep them apprised and updated.
• Establish goals and priorities; and
• Coordinate Board meetings and ensure that Board directives are called out.
- Coordinate with the national organization to assist with licensing examinations by approving examination applications, preparing examinations, negotiating contracts for national examinations, maintaining security during examinations, monitoring examination sessions and informing applicants of results;
- Approve initial and continuing applications for licensure and renewal;
- Provide technical assistance to licensees and the public by answering questions regarding laws and practice.
- Coordinate and evaluate licensing activity with other states for reciprocity purposes;
- Work with the office of the attorney general’s assigned attorney or department of social services attorney to investigate, initiate and present complaints against licensees or unlicensed administrators to ensure potential problems are resolved in compliance with applicable policies.
• Initiate complaints against licensees on behalf of the Board;
• Analyze investigative material and evaluate legal procedures with legal counsel:
• Present findings and recommendations to the Board or law judge to ensure rule violations are corrected;
• Schedule information proceedings and disciplinary hearings;
• Administer disciplinary actions on behalf of the Board;
• Serve as a resource in complaint proceedings by making reference to pertinent statutes and rules to aid the Board when reviewing complaints for possible violations; and
• Provide testimony at court hearing resulting from applicant or licensee appeals and illegal actions for unlicensed individuals.
- Serve as Board liaison to applicants, licensees, professional associations, government entities, and general population.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement technological changes such as web site development, computerized testing, e-commerce, national databases, and licensee databases.
