The Vendor is required to provide a range of applicable individual and group-based counselling services to city citizens under the guidance of the family and community support service department.
- Services provided should support the culture, traditions and diversity of individuals within the community in a safe and inclusive environment.
- The service providers must be able to provide strength-based, relationship-centered and growth promoting counselling services to individuals and families through a variety of delivery options including in-person, video counselling and additional methods, which would be considered value-add.
- Services provided must respond to multitude issues, including but not limited to the following:
• Children and adolescents with learning, emotional, and behavior adjustment difficulties
• Anxiety, depression, grief and stress management
• Trauma
• Sexual identity
• Individual, group and family counselling
- Service Provider shall provide group therapy programs focused on educating clients on social issues such as:
• Mental health and addictions
• Houselessness and housing insecurity
• Aging well in the community
• Family and sexual violence
• Employment
- The goals of the group therapy sessions are to:
• Develop and maintain healthy relationships
• Develop and strengthen skills that build resilience
• Enhance access to social supports
• Promote social inclusion and foster a sense of belonging
• Promote and encourage active engagement in the community
