The Vendor is required to provide counselling services to city residents through a contract where the city pays an agreed upon fee per counselling session in addition to the pro-rated co-pay fee paid by the client.
- Provide for the delivery of short-term subsidized counselling services.
- The City provides counselling services to residents and requires a counselling agency (ies) available to provide timely and quality service to residents.
- The program is subsidized and available to residents with an annual income of less than $75,000 and no access to insurance or they have utilized all benefits prior to accessing subsidized program.
- Ability to support a counselling program that provides subsidized, short term individual, couple and family therapy.
- Provide a variety of general counselling (e.g. family, marital, depression, grief, stress, etc.) on a confidential referral basis at a subsidized rate.
- Provide professional quality individual, couple and family counselling sessions to clients of the City’s Community in accordance with all applicable agency policies and procedures.
- Have the capacity to respond to a new intake in a timely and efficient manner. Expectation is that a new approved intake will receive an initial contact from the contractor within 5 business days. This would include identifying capacity for serving issues such as waitlist times, etc.
- Provide details on existing ability to meet different needs of the client by offering multiple platforms for accessing counselling; such as virtual sessions.
- Be responsible for accepting and collecting client co-payment from Community clients upon arrival for scheduled counselling sessions in accordance with the Community co-pay counselling fee schedule.
- Assist with client surveys when required by Community.
