Legal Services

The Vendor is required to provide the city has required an average of 35 hours of related consulting legal services per month.
- The consulting legal services that the City requires may include, but is not limited to, the following areas:
• Interpretation of Community Charter, Local Government Act and other provincial and federal legislation;
• Land use;
• Land development planning;
• By law enforcement;
• Leases and licenses;
• Liability claims;
• First Nations;
• Environmental;
• Procurement/contracts;
• Freedom of information and protection of privacy;
• Conflict of interest;
• Municipal development corporation;
• Forestry management
• Labour and employment
• Expropriation;
• Statutory rights of way;
• Litigation;
• Code of conduct / censure (including investigations);
• Development/servicing agreements.
