The Vendor is required to provide medical director to provide clinical oversight, medical direction, and professional guidance for the state’s 911 emergency medical dispatch program.
- The Medical Director will play a critical role in ensuring that EMD protocols, policies, training, and quality assurance processes align with nationally recognized medical standards, evidence based practices, and applicable state.
- Provide all labor and associated expenses necessary to perform the required services, including but not limited to mileage, parking, tolls, transportation, lodging, meals, materials, equipment, tools, and report preparation.
- Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities, including oversight of call-taker compliance with approved medical dispatch protocols, with an emphasis on reliability and consistency
- Participate in the oversight of ongoing education, training, and medical guidance provided by agency to Emergency Medical Dispatchers (EMDs).
- Participate in the design, operation, evaluation, and data analysis of the medical protocol system utilized by division.
