The vendor required to provide communications consulting services for include:
• Function as the county’s primary media source.
• Ensure timely, accurate distribution of information to the public.
• Provide graphic design and layout expertise for major county publications and projects, such as brochures, pamphlets, signage and other as directed by the agency or designate.
• Develop communication plans and consultative tools in response to emerging issues.
• Develop, update and publish regular content for website and social media platforms (Facebook, X, etc.…).
• Draft monthly communications reports, media releases, briefings and position papers for the county, reeve, council, agency, senior management, and department staff.
• Monitor and track media coverage and ensure media contact information is current and accessible.
• Arrange production of publications and projects as above for internal and external stakeholders, including review and approval of externally produced material.
• Coordinate and book advertising for various departments upon request, including weekly newspaper advertisements.
• Manage and actively promote the county’s economic development and tourism messaging through social media and the county’s website.
• Production of supporting materials for various special events, meetings and other activities, to assist with promoting a positive image for the county.
• Advise council and management regarding issues and recommend appropriate communication responses.
• Assume the position of public information officer under the emergency management plan.
