RFP Description

The vendor required to provide real estate brokerage services for the marketing and disposition of multiple town-owned properties.
- The town has identified between six and twelve significant properties that warrant intentional, strategic, professionally managed real estate marketing and disposition.
- The sale of commercial property and particularly in the disposition of government or municipal real estate.
- The town may select more than one brokerage firm in order to ensure access to specialized expertise and to provide flexibility in matching particular properties with the firm best suited to market and sell them.
- These responsibilities, the selected broker will be expected to provide professional advice concerning valuation, highest and best use, suitability for leasing, and any encumbrances that may affect sale ability.
- The broker will conduct comparative market analyses and provide recommendations for appropriate = listing prices, including justification for offers and counteroffers throughout the transaction process.
- The broker will handle communications with prospective buyers or lessees, respond to inquiries, show the properties, coordinate inspections, and maintain regular, timely communication with town staff.
- Include preparing and presenting materials at public meetings, consulting with the town attorney as needed, and providing any customary services associated with municipal real estate transactions.
