RFP Description

The Vendor is required to provide are armed security guard services for city office.
- Responsible for supervision of its employees and Subcontractor employees, together with clean up and proper disposal of any site work waste.
- This service is on an as needed basis.
- Must be able to provide security officers within eight (8) hours or less when notified by agency.
- Security officers will be required to provide crowd control during an emergency and/or disaster events.
- Security officers may be assigned additional duties as designated by the agency designated representative including but not limited to, driving, transportation, carrying and lifting objects, protecting designated areas with equipment and supplies and other duties as assigned within the scope of the services for an emergency event.
- The security guard shall address any person who is continuously loud or boisterous in an office to refrain from such action or escort those individuals from the premises
- The security guard will not engage in conversations with clients and/or employees and not give any policy/office procedures information to clients.
- Security guard will refer questions from clients to the receptionist.
- The security guard shall be available to escort employees to their cars if a security risk exists.
- The security guard must be thoroughly familiar with the operation and control of all building life safety system such as but not limited to fire alarms, building life safety system, telephone system, and access and intrusion alarm systems.
- Security guard shall follow the policy set forth by the health and human services commission authorized representative.
- The security guard will permit only authorized persons to enter into restricted areas of the premises.
- Patrolling interior and exterior of buildings, grounds, and monitoring the state vehicles, if applicable, at random intervals.
- Monitoring all security systems, as applicable, including, but not limited to, burglary, fires, and close circuit television (CCTV) systems.
- Security guard shall be given a (30) minute lunch to be taken at different times each day between the hours of 11:30am to 1:30pm.
- Security guard, after informing appropriate staff, may take a fifteen (15) minute break during the first half of their shift and a fifteen (15) minute break during the last half of their shift
- Security guard will take breaks while on the premises, after notifying the authorized representative at location.
- Manager within 48 hours of newly hired security officer and security officers no longer working on site.
- Contract Period/Term: 1 year
