The Vendor is required to provide a comprehensive cloud-based big data transportation solution to enhance its ability to analyze, track, and predict travel behavior and mobility trends within the organization planning area.
- Company must provide a secure and efficient platform capable of delivering transportation insights using its datasets while integrating seamlessly with existing City systems.
- Big Data Transportation Solution must support a wide range of transportation analyses to enhance traffic management, public transit planning, congestion mitigation, and infrastructure decision-making.
- The system should also facilitate easy data access, visualization, and analytical tools for various City departments and transportation stakeholders.
- The platform must have the capacity for various transportation data analyses, including but not limited to:
• Origin-Destination Data: Trip routes and movement patterns within CRTPO.
• Trip Analytics: Trip purpose, distance, mode (private vehicle, transit, bicycle, pedestrian), and travel time.
• Traffic Flow Analysis: Vehicle counts, turning movements, travel speeds, congestion patterns by peak periods.
• Traveler Demographics: Socioeconomic data, workforce travel trends, and household characteristics influencing travel behavior.
• Data Query Functionalities:
1. Temporal Queries: Filter data by timeframes (hourly, daily, historical trends).
2. Spatial Queries: Geographic filters by standard areas (Traffic Analysis Zones, Census Tracts, or custom corridors/points of interest).
• Multidimensional Queries: Ability to cross-filter by multiple dimensions (e.g., travel mode, time, trip purpose, demographics).
• Cloud-Based Deployment: The system must be delivered as a SaaS solution and hosted on a secure, cloud-based infrastructure.
• Data Accuracy and Validation: Company must provide documentation on data calibration, validation, and confidence intervals as new data is released, at a minimum of quarterly intervals.
• Required System Integration and Export Features:
1. Compatibility with City GIS and Planning Tools (ArcGIS, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms).
2. Export Capabilities: Support CSV, Excel, and GIS file formats.
3. API Access: Prefer to have RESTful API for real-time data access and external system integration.
• User Access and Role Management: The solution should provide multi-tier user authentication with customizable access permissions.
• System Availability and Uptime Guarantee: The solution should have a minimum 99.5% uptime\ guarantee.
• Customizable Dashboards: The System should allow City analysts to build custom reports using drag and-drop tools and export results in multiple formats (CSV, Excel, GIS layers).
• Special Event Monitoring: The System should have the capabilities to analyze and report on major event impacts on transportation networks (e.g., sports events, festivals, or emergencies), including pre-event, real-time, and post-event evaluations.
• Predictive Analytics Reports: The System should offer AI-driven forecasting models to anticipate congestion patterns, infrastructure bottlenecks, and demand fluctuations.
