The Vendor is required to provide facilities include a day-use picnic area with a pond, an improved boat ramp and paddling launch, a campground with tent and recreational vehicle camping areas, two bathhouses, and a camp store.
- Services to be provided include operation and maintenance of these facilities, canoe and kayak rentals, a livery service, and guided tours of the creek.
- Public access
• Maintain entrance gate system to ensure payment of fees and to provide security for campers.
• Facilitate hunters’ access to the agency and use of the wilderness camping areas for the duration of scheduled hunts.
• The commission shall have the sole discretion to limit paddling tours or use of wilderness campsites during hunts but said discretion shall not be arbitrarily or unreasonably exercised.
- Implement a marketing program
• Implement an effective marketing program (materials to be approved by the commission) to promote available recreation services.
- Collect fees and maintain financial and visitation records
• Establish and collect fees, submit monthly revenue payments and maintain all financial records.
- Provide all custodial functions associated with operating the day use area, campground, bathhouses and camp store.
- Provide efficient, convenient and courteous reservation and registration services to campers.
- Post and enforce approved campground rules.
- Provide for high quality interpretive programming.
- Contract Period/Term: 5 years
