RFP Description

The Vendor is required to provide an energy audit in order to best identify opportunities for largest amounts of energy savings, utility bill savings, and better understand costs that would be associated with conducting any such upgrades.
- Directed by the city’s project manager, the contractor will:
• Prepare an energy audit for the buildings identified, adhering to ASHRAE level 2 guidelines
• Prepare performance specifications and other design documents for selected projects identified in the energy audit, as determined by the city’s project manager.
- Prepare an energy audit that describes the facility and its energy use patterns, identifies all cost effective lighting and HVAC options, presents recommendations regarding all options analyzed, and includes all calculations conducted in support of the analyses.  
- Analyses will be performed to determine which, if any, energy efficiency project options are cost effective.
- Survey forms for each property including photos, as noted above and survey report.
- Report including breakdown of energy consumption end-use, analysis of utility rates to justify proposed projects.
- Proposed energy efficiency projects for each facility, including estimated cost and construction timelines, as well as estimated payback period for each upgrade.
- Written summaries of all oral interviews, including personnel from each respective building, utility, equipment vendors, etc.
- Minutes/summary from all meetings, including public comment.
- Copies of all meeting advertisements/announcements/informational materials and the like.
- Create index of files and deliverables.
- Written progress reports.
- Documentation of coordination with office of sustainability and facilities staff.
- Proposed recommendations listed on each individual building audit and as a holistic list of prioritized recommendations.
- Incorporate changes and recommendations from the city staff and finalize the audit, and provide an overall prioritized list of energy conservation measures.
- Each project will be discussed on a building-by building basis with separate savings and cost.
- Contract Period/Term: 1 year
