The vendor is required to provide full-time staff augmentation software developer resources to assist state staff with ongoing support for the bureau of criminal apprehension (BCA) criminal history system (CHS), including functionality and critical security updates.
- These resources are also required to assist in incrementally moving the CHS system to updated, more supportable technologies.
- These criminal history records are created and updated based on arrest data received from state law enforcement agencies, case disposition data received from the state judicial branch, and custodial data received from the department.
- Criminal history record information is classified as either public or private based on state law and is disseminated through a number of interfaces, including the public internet, walk-in requests at the BCA, requests mailed to the BCA, and electronic requests from state criminal justice agencies, criminal justice agencies in other states, and in the federal government and as otherwise authorized by state law.
- Build, deploy and test software applications and modules using automated test and deployment technologies and tools.
- BCA direction and collaborate in identifying appropriate technical solutions that meet BCA’S objectives, which include, but are not limited to, defining technical alternatives to derive the most cost-effective solutions to meet BCA requirements and adhere to BCA standards and guidelines.
- Execute unit and integration testing procedures
- Ability to establish strong business partnerships with senior systems team members and with criminal justice and technical staff
- Provide knowledge transfer to state staff.
