RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide medical personnel will respond to all injuries as deemed necessary by the professional judgement of the onsite physician, athletic trainers and medical personnel.
a. Certification and equipment
• All bidders shall be primarily engaged in the emergency medical & transportation service business and shall have been actively engaged in this field for a period of not less than 2 years from the date of original solicitation.
• Contractor shall provide emergency medical standby services and transportation in accordance with all required state licenses and certifications for the provision of such services and in accordance with all local, state and federal laws, regulations and ordinances.
• Contractor shall provide a minimum of one (1) paramedic and one (1) emergency medical technicians (EMT) at each event.
• Contractor shall provide and maintain advance life support (ALS) medical transportation and one vehicle per game site.
• Contractor shall provide radios/walkie-talkie communication devices to athletic trainer certified to maintain effective communication – for unit and sideline.
• Devices will be returned promptly after event.
• Professional dress is required at all events – to include medical/tactical pants or shorts; polo shirt/company issued colors
b. Level of coverage/services
• Contractor must have the sufficient medical personnel, equipment, vehicles and resources to provide services for maximum number of events held weekly during the football season: three (3) middle school events on Wednesdays, three (3) junior varsity events on Thursdays and four (4) varsity events on Fridays.
• Contractor shall provide on-site/in-service training with designated agency staff athletic trainers, prior to start of football season

a. Use of o2, splinting, cold water immersion and spine boarding.
• Chain of command on field – coordinate with athletic trainer certified (ATC).
• Medical personnel shall arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to kick-off. departure shall occur once the stadium is cleared of all spectators and teams. late arrivals to events shall result in pro-rated fee.
• Medical personnel cannot leave ambulance or designated location simultaneously, no phone usage during event, no eating and food delivery to ambulance, etc.
• Coordinate communication strategy with agency fire & rescue
c. Billing
• Invoices are to be submitted to the senior coordinator of athletics at the close of each calendar month.
