The vendor is required to provide for source removal that considers soil management limits as well as free product removal.
• A health and safety plan to be implement for the duration of ground disturbance and onsite assessment.
• A detailed plan for the excavation, sampling and disposal, including:
o The footprint and depth of the excavation.
o A logistics plan for trucking including routes, sidewalk closure(s) and traffic accommodation plan(s).
o The excavation process including proposed mitigation measures for working near existing infrastructure (utilities and buildings) and associated controls such as shoring or sloping.
o A plan for groundwater collection and management, including the free product identified near the west portion of the property. proponents should note that management limit guideline exceedances extend to approximately 4.5 m below ground surface (BGS) and the groundwater table is found around 2.0 mbgs.
o It is expected that groundwater infiltration could require significant management.
o Sampling plan and analytical schedule for soil and groundwater.
o Following source removal and backfill, monitoring wells required for the risk management plan (RMP) that were removed during excavation should be replaced within the property.
