RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide a contract with a qualified, and state registered recycler service provider for the recycling and environmentally responsible disposal of electronic waste.
- Service provider will assign a competent project manager who has full authority to act for the service provider and who will be agency primary point of contact and coordination during the execution of the project.
- Provide services to refurbish, resell, recycle, or safely dispose of batteries and electronic equipment such as tablets, Chromebook, laptops, computers, peripheral devices, monitors, printers, electronic boards, servers, power supply units, cellular and desktop phones, keyboards, mice and other accessories including cables and compact discs.
• Provide packing materials or disposal collection containers for electronic equipment (i.e. speed packs and pallets);
• Pick-up packaged materials or disposal collection containers from mcc locations within (primarily the flint campus, but occasionally sites in cities or other flint-based locations).
1. Agency will call or email the awarded provider to initiate pick-ups when disposal collection containers are full or in the case of a project-related cleanout.
2. Record any and all asset tags for tagged electronic equipment and provide a list to designated mcc personnel.
3. Electronic equipment that has no residual resale value shall be either recycled or disposed of in an environmentally responsible way, consistent with all local, state and federal regulations governing such disposal.
4. For electronic equipment to be disposed of:
• Provide proof of certified destruction for all electronic equipment that has memory capable of storing sensitive personnel information. - For electronic equipment to be recycled or resold:
• Provide a certificate of data destruction (wipe) and reset to factory default any electronic equipment to be resold or recycled.
- The service provider, its subcontractors, and agents will abide by all federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations related to fair labor practices, prohibiting discrimination in employment, and controlling workplace safety.
- Annual security training will be required for any contractor utilizing mcc computer systems.
- Agency will provide training to any contractor unable to provide attestation of internal security training.
- Contract Period/Term: 3 years
