RFP Description

The Vendor is required to provide facilities website upgrade and portal information architecture design services.
- Consultation Services
• Multiple stakeholders’ engagements (including workshops) to understand and document user and content needs;
• Stakeholder consultation report and functional requirements document with recommendations and insights;
• User research activities to collect feedback from the wider facilities community including suppliers and to test assumptions; and
• Analysis of available data and research to inform audience groups and content gaps.
• Site map/IA structure: a visual representation of the website's structure, showing the hierarchy of pages and how they are interconnected to provide a high-level understanding of the website's content organization and navigation pathways.
• Wireframes: a two-dimensional skeletal outline of key webpages that provide a clear over of the page structure, layout, functionality, and desired user group flows.
• Taxonomies and metadata schema: a defined taxonomy and metadata scheme that categorizes and organizes the website's content into logical groupings that enhance search ability and discoverability.
• Navigation structure: a visual representation of navigation menus, submenus, and internal linking strategies to facilitate intuitive navigation for users.
• Content analysis: an analysis using an existing content inventory to help validate whether the content should live in an intranet or an external-facing website.
• Analysis using the preexisting content inventory can offer insights into content gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for consolidation or restructuring.
• User group flows: visual diagrams illustrating the paths that user groups take to accomplish specific tasks on the website based on analytics provided and user research conducted.
• Usability testing: qualitative research on usability testing focusing on collecting insights, findings, and anecdotes about how people will use the website including the testing of the proposed navigation, sitemap, and search.
• IA final report: a document that synthesizes all the IA deliverables and provides guidance for the design and development teams.
• This document will also outline the rationale behind IA decisions, and provides guidelines for content creation and governance, and best practices for maintaining consistency and coherence in the website's structure.
