The Vendor is required to provide benefit navigation services for county residents for the supplemental nutrition assistance program (SNAP), the state supplemental nutrition for women and infant children program (WIC), and/or other assistance programs.
- Services include:
• Provide comprehensive benefit navigation services for individuals and families applying for snap and WIC including reviewing applications for the above programs, ensuring all documentation and eligibility requirements are met, and helping transmit applications to the relevant receiving agency.
• Work in collaboration with community outreach workers from a masters of social work program to ensure that applications are completed and transmitted to the relevant receiving agency in a timely manner.
• Maintain contact with clients to ensure that any additional requests for documentation are fulfilled, and that clients can address any issues/deficiencies with applications.
• Conduct follow up with receiving agencies so that applications are reviewed in a timely manner.
• Assist clients with re-certification for the above services, and inform them about other programs and services that may be beneficial based on their needs.
