The Vendor is required to provide to conduct a search for a highly qualified benefit consultant or consulting group to assist with management of our current plans and exploring a possible transition from current health plan structure to a self-funded or dividend eligible structure.
- Communication Assistance
• Conduct stake-holder meetings to obtain input on proposed strategy, if decision is made to change current structure.
• Include survey of key constituents regarding benefits wanted/needed.
• Include presentations to summarize the proposed benefit strategy, including external comparison data, education and communication with key constituents, preparation of feedback findings and revision/update of next steps.
• Participate in the open enrollment process by (a) drafting, issuing and evaluating requests for proposals, if any, for the plan year (b) assisting with contract negotiations and renewals (c) assessing plan design changes (d) assisting with implementation of new plan design (e) conducting actuarial analysis of claims experience and funding requirements.
• Assess and make recommendations for the employee/employer contribution structure.
• Provide budget projections
• Assist with creating benefit statements for university employees demonstrating value of benefit offerings.
• Special projects, as needed; may include but is not limited to assisting agency in determining the cost, feasibility of the existing onsite health facility; may also include recommendation for merging active employee and retiree health/life benefits or recommendations for cost containment based on current plans.
• Assist agency with the development of campus communication plan to include creation of campus memos/announcements and other employee communication materials, including providing advice and recommendations, as requested.
