RFP Description

The Vendor is required to provide temporary housing and/or extended-stay housing services (“housing options”) for individuals experiencing homelessness on an as-needed basis.
- Services include:
• All housing options must meet local, state, and federal building safety codes, fire-safety code, and must comply with all hospitality-related regulations, city, state and federal codes.
• All housing options must be equipped with first aid kits, fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide alarms, and an evacuation plan in case of emergencies.
• Must provide free parking for residents, city case managers and city approved personnel providing services to agency clients.
• Provide one room per family or individual.
• For the purpose of this request for proposal, family is defined as at least one adult and one or more dependents of any age and/or partnered adults.
• Families of five or more shall be provided two conjoining rooms, a suite, neighboring rooms, or alternative options that limit family separation.
• At a minimum, all rooms shall be furnished with one to two beds with clean linens, bedding, and pillows.
• All agency clients shall have access to sleeping arrangements to include single, double, queen or king-size beds.
• Single beds shall only sleep one person per bed, while double beds, queen, king or larger may be acceptable to sleep two individuals in the same family.
• Upon city approval, pull-out sofas and/or cots may be acceptable to place in the room for families.
• At a minimum, housing options shall be furnished with lighting, a desk and/or a table, chairs, and/or a sofa, a refrigerator, and a microwave.
• Housing options shall include a private bathroom stocked with hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner and a towel for each guest.
• All rooms must have operational air conditioning and heating systems that can be controlled from inside the room.
• The city will inspect the temporary housing option and any connected facilities upon arrival and room entry. Inspections shall include taking photos of the room or residence upon arrival and after departure.
• Agency shall meet with the client, in their assigned rooms, bi-weekly to provide support services and conduct room inspections.
• Responsible for routine operational costs, including, but not limited to the replacement of linens, towels, or other standard hotel equipment or supplies due to normal wear and tear.
