RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide for a video recording and security system (hardware and software) that will enable school staff to record teaching lessons in rooms throughout the school building.
- This system will also have the ability to be used by school staff in the case of an emergency on school premises for monitoring purposes.
- Video system installation:
• The video system shall be installed in locations on the agency campus as designated by the agency technology director.
• All materials (cameras, cables, electrical hardware, etc.) shall be installed in the designated locations shall be new (i.e., not previously used or recycled from other contractor projects).
• Provide protection of all classroom equipment, furniture, hardware, and materials during installation and shall not damage any existing school property.
• The required 52 camera bundles shall be installed into the drop ceiling of each designated location.
• The contractor shall use either Linux or windows as the server operating system (“OS”).
• This server shall host the agency teacher/faculty access application either locally (i.e., on-premises) or within the states (if cloud-based).
• Ensure that agency teachers/faculty have access their classroom video for streaming, editing and archiving their video instructions as needed.
• Any editing of video recordings shall create a new copy of the video, leaving the original video recording intact.
• Video can only be edited and exported and shared by authorized users.
• The system shall keep an audit log of any video exported which includes username, date, and time the video was altered and exported or shared.
• The server shall have the capability to be backed-up daily, weekly, and monthly as desired; with the ability to set automatic “delete” schedules based on age of the recordings.
• The video system shall include a network video recorder to be used to record a security stream from the cameras on an as needed basis.
- Data/video stored on the video recorder server shall be encrypted to prevent unauthorized viewing and access to recordings.
- Administrative access to the system shall be secured via multi-factor authentication (MFA).
