The Vendor is required to provide a web portal for all institutions, college, and university.
- To serve the community needs each campus has focused on portal-based solutions.
- The system should provide users with an appropriately branded view of services, tools, announcements, and the like based on their role associated with a given campus.
- The product should include:
• Links to other applications or services
• Integrates with SAML-based authentication, particularly azure/Entra SSO
• Provisioning processes to allow automated creation of user accounts and assign user roles within the portal
• Role based content
1. General for announcements, tools and links for roles such as faculty, staff, students
2. More specific would be ideal for departments, groups and even id based
3. Can handle multiple roles per person; example – staff member who is also a student
4. Provides a way to deliver content or tools to non-authenticated users
• Search capability within the application and through external search engines like google
• Ability to handle multiple institutions with specific branding for each institution
• Support for targeted content based on campus
• Customized experience - users can personalize toolset/content interests and prioritize display order
• Ability to assign specific tasks or to-do lists to individuals or groups such as new students or new employees
• Multiple roles for administrators, with granular control over capabilities in the portal, to update or manage specific areas for specific agency institutions
• Distributed access for content and notification creation/maintenance
• Role and user attribute-based notifications and messaging
• Mobile-capable services that can be viewed and used on a phone or tablet device
• Optional iOS and android mobile application for accessing the portal services including push notifications
• Integrations; ability to integrate with:
1. Banner sis for student course enrollments, standing, grades, and student financial accounts (for two of the current agency schools)
2. Colleague sis for student course enrollments, standing, grades, and student financial accounts (for one agency school)
3. Workday HR/finance; there is one shared instance of workday for all agency.
4. Canvas LMS to show courses enrolled and activity in those courses; there are separate canvas instances for each agency school.
5. Microsoft 365 such as email and recent documents from one drive; there is one combined m365 tenant for all agency.
6. Calendar feeds from multiple calendaring systems
7. Rave emergency alert system
8. EAB navigate to show advisor information and upcoming appointments
9. Campus card payment systems to show student fund balances
• Ability to develop custom widgets or content blocks within the portal to support integrations not delivered out-of-the-box
- Other services to be provided:
• Reporting capabilities to determine usage of certain links, features/widgets
• Customer knowledge base or self-help documentation
• Training for administrators and content creators
• Software as a service hosting
• Regular product updates and roadmap
• User community and/or customer feedback portal
• System monitoring and notifications.
