The vendor is required to provide that website redesign, development and hosting services for all site planning, interface design, production and hosting as required to bring a new site online.
- A solution that allows staff to update content and modify site design after the initial launch quickly, easily and cost-effectively.
- Website design:
• The site must reinforce the department brand, deliver measurable results in terms of site metrics as well as converted visits to the destination, showcase the unique attributes of and the county area.
• Department staff will have final approval over design.
- Website development:
• Development of a fully responsive destination website engineered by the development team; our preference will be an in-house development team that has experience building high performing destination websites.
• Experience of the development team will be evaluated.
- Website support and hosting:
premium hosting for optimal performance and speed; a support and maintenance package to assist with updating and maintaining the website as needed.
- Content management system:
• Implementation of an open-house content management system (CMS) that is user-friendly, intuitive and provides department staff with a best-in-class content publishing experience.
• The designs, content, coding, hosting, and the CMS being implemented.
• Directory capabilities to house local listings, venue and event data along with the ability to create forms for contacting the department, surveys and giveaways.
• The CMS for easy page creation after the site goes live.
• Analytics and tracking codes should be easy to add within the header of any page.
• The CMS for easy management of all search engine optimization efforts: including the ability to add/edit meta information, customize open graph information, control no-follows and canonical, and easy access to schema markup.
• The ability to edit alt tag and other important information for SEO.
• Department staff training and user manuals should be included in the overall cost.
- Analytics:
• Department staff to ensure all codes are placed on the site; along with reviewing the current code to evaluate if historical data can be preserved.
- Local listings & venue directory:
• Capabiliti3e4s for local listings and a venue directory on our new website.
• Include information on managed by our staff through the CMS.
- Mapping and responsive geo triggers:
• The website should include responsive geo triggers and interactive maps per listing and utilize google maps.
• The site design should allow for expanding the mapping function.
• Interactive maps should allow visitors to select hotels, restaurants, mer5chancts, attractions and/or events.
