• Integrating indigenous engagement and development principles into the development process and provide opportunities to facilitate partnerships with six nations of the grand river and Mississauga’s of the credit first nation.
• Creating urban design guidelines for a high standard of design that facilitates identity and community value and integrates public input.
• Create appropriate zones with associated uses, setback etc. that implement and reflect the official plan and tie to the proposed design guidelines.
• Craft appropriate general regulations and update parking and loading requirements.
• Including flexible permissions for farmers and agri-businesses that ensure the protection of the agricultural land base and support the rural economy.
• Consider how conditions for the provision of community facilities or services can be leveraged to prioritize a community-first approach to development and growth.
• Integrating a climate change lens to encourage and require resilient and green development opportunities and energy efficiency.

2. 2024 site alteration by-law (by-law 87-24):
• Regulates site alterations to ensure environmental protection.
• The CPPS will include provisions to manage and control site alterations in development areas.
