- Requirement:
1. Needs assessment and site analysis
• Conduct surveys and audits to identify key locations for signage.
• Analyze traffic patterns and pedestrian flows.
• Identify potential obstructions, visibility concerns, and access points.
2. Design development
• Develop a cohesive visual identity for the wayfinding system.
• Create design templates for various signage types, including but not limited to:
• Directional signs
• Informational kiosks
• Gateway signs
• Parking signs
• Pedestrian and bicycle signs
• Provide mockups and 3d renderings for review and approval.
3. Content development
• Collaborate with city officials to determine messaging and sign content.
• Ensure consistency in language, terminology, and iconography.
4. Material selection and prototyping
• Suggest long-lasting, weatherproof materials ideal for outdoor use.
• Present material samples for city approval.
• Produce prototype signs for testing.
5. Permitting and compliance
• Ensure all signage meets local, state, and federal regulations.
• Obtain necessary permits for installation.
6. Fabrication
• Manufacture all approved signage using specified materials and methods.
• Ensure high-quality production standards.
7. Installation
• Prepare installation schedule and logistics plan.
• Coordinate with city officials and utility companies for safe installation.
• Install signage at designated locations and ensure proper anchoring.
8. Quality control and inspection
• Conduct thorough inspections post-installation.
• Address any issues or deficiencies.
9. Documentation and training
• Provide as-built documentation, including locations and specifications.
• Offer training to city staff on maintenance and updates.
10. Maintenance and warranty plan
• Provides a minimum one-year warranty covering defects in materials, fabrication, and installation of signage.
• A maintenance plan describing inspection schedules, cleaning, and repair services to ensure the long-term performance of installed signage.
