The Vendor is required to provide the City intends to implement a new risk management information system (RMIS).
- The procured RMIS is intended to interface with the third-party administrator for employee disability claims, verisk claim search, CMS medicare/medicare reporting system, workday, and verisk xactimate, and will serve as the primary system for all other risk claims.
- The RMIS will also ensure compliance with OSHA, Medicare, workers’ compensation laws, and other relevant regulations while maintaining the highest standards of data security.
- The system must be able to identify and assess risks through tools such as risk surveys, control assessments, and risk indicators, offer standardized methods of recording incidents, automate policy renewals, track and ensure proper coverage, track exposures, provide robust data security measures, and provide real time access and manipulation of data.
- The ultimate goal of this RMIS implementation is to provide a modern, user-friendly, and scalable solution that enables the City to proactively manage risk, optimize financial and operational efficiency, and enhance public service delivery.
- Risk Management processes approximately 3,500 disability claims annually, with about 3,000 of those remaining active.
- The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive training program that enables staff across the employee disability unit, claims unit, airport claims, insurance and contracts unit, and the safety and loss prevention unit, as well as those involved in internal compliance activities, to effectively utilize all features and functionalities of the new system.
