Wearable Biometric Monitoring System

The vendor is required to provide wearable biometric monitoring system for procurement and implementation of a wearable biometric monitoring system that monitors inmate vital signs.
- Interested in a system that is tamper resistant and provide real time data of vital signs to increase inmate safety from both a health and security standpoint.
- General requirements
•    Provide a wearable system to monitor vital signs
•    Provide on-site installation and configuration of hardware and software
•    Provide staff training and technical support
•    Provide system maintenance and updates
- Technical requirements:
•    Battery life of wearable that is equal or greater 24 hours
•    Shortened time for full recharge of device- less than 6 hours
•    Device can monitor in real-time the following vitals:
o    Heart rate, oxygen saturation, skin temperature
o    Movement
•    Device is tampered resistant and unable to be removed by inmate
•    Device can monitor real time and send alerts for abnormal detection
•    Wireless capabilities with connection to a secure network
•    Device capable of signal transmission through concrete walls
•    Any sustainability components in the manufacturing, material composition (including recycled plastic or other eco-friendly features), lifespan and disposal of the products.
- System capabilities:
•    Continuous real time transmitting data 24/7/365.
•    Act- compliant data storage and handling protocols including data recovery
•    On-site data storage option
•    8-hour battery backup for networking devices
•    Web-based and mobile-accessible software interface
•    System is capable of having location manually entered and interfaced with jail management
•    System and electronic health record system
•    Role-based access control and audit trail functionality
•    Software should be integrated with the county’s active directory for single sign on (SSO)
•    Software will be used by staff with general computer literacy
•    Audio and visual alerts for abnormal events to include but not limited to health, tamper, battery life.
