The vendor required to provide public library systems for library grounds maintenance.
1. Grounds maintenance
• Pick up any trash and litter on library grounds
• Cut grass to a uniform height, no less than 2.5 inches and mulch grass clippings
• Edge along sidewalks, curbs and planting beds
• Remove weeds from planting beds and grounds
2. Hardscape maintenance
• Remove twigs and branches from all patios, sidewalks and parking lot
• Blow sidewalks, patios, and parking areas (all foliage shall be removed from sidewalks)
• Any accumulation of grass clippings after mowing and blowing must be wiped from picnic tables and benches or raked up and disposed of by the contractor.
• No clippings or debris may be dumped on adjacent property or library property;
• Remove sediment from parking lot
• Clean drainage systems and water grates of debris
3. Irrigation system maintenance
• Inspect routinely for signs of leaks or misaligned heads
4. Plant and turf care
• Maintain weed control in beds, around signage, in and around parking lots, and sidewalks either by chemical means or by hand or both if necessary.
• Weed growth must be monitored and
• Weeds removed regularly;
• Roll and tuck pine straw each visit.
5. Tree, shrub and hedge care
• Prune trees (utilize ANSI 300 standards), shrubs and hedges to maintain shape, health and safety (maintain at least 1’ clearance between shrub and building)
• Remove dead, diseased, or hazardous limbs promptly.
