Automated Student Data Validation and Audit System

The Vendor is required to provide a wide range of student-related data that directly impacts federal and state reporting, funding allocations, and policy decisions.
- This initiative responds to a critical and ongoing issue identified through both past and recent audits: a high risk of non-compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements for data accuracy, reliability, and integrity.
- This system must check that data entries are not only compliant but are also supported by auditable evidence.
- Solution must:
•    Provide tools that help agencies certify the accuracy and reliability of data submitted from their SIS.
•    Validate that data submissions (e.g., graduation completion codes) are backed by complete and accurate supporting documentation (e.g., verification of course requirement completion).
•    Identify and flag submissions that lack required documentation, such as confirming the correct recording of valid reasons for an excused absence.
•    Automatically reconcile data against established rules, such as checking student membership days against the agencies approved in-school calendar.
•    Support agencies in implementing best practices for data governance that reduce the risk of audit findings.
- Audits in agencies SIS systems have identified significant deficiencies in the quality and truthfulness of data submissions, particularly in the following areas:
•    High school graduation eligibility
•    Student attendance
•    Academic performance metrics
•    Incident reporting
•    Student counts and status
•    Student records required by law (e.g., Student Achievement Backpack)
