RFP Description

The Vendor is required to provide comprehensive visibility into our infrastructure, identifies potential issues proactively, performs active monitoring including “Up/Down” and supports efficient infrastructure management and capacity planning.
- The platform should provide, at the minimum, the following features. 
•    Supports active monitoring (ping, interface, fan, power supply, temperature)
•    Supports core monitoring protocols (ICMP, SNMPv2/v3, and WMI).
•    Provide performance monitors (CPU, memory, interface, Ping latency).
•    Ability to create alerts and tickets in ITSM tool, preferably ServiceNow.
•    Provide Passive monitors (SNMP traps, syslog, Windows event logs). 
•    Provides ability to group monitors together and apply that group to a device or service.
•    Ability to suspend monitoring (maintenance mode) manually and on schedule.
•    Ability to suspend alerting due to device dependency.
•    Ability to suspend alerting due to scheduled maintenance (blackout) window.
•    Ability to export and provide various reporting capabilities. 
•    Provide documentation detailing security of core infrastructure and systems hosted in that environment. 
•    CMDB, directory service integration capabilities. 
•    Provide flexibility to meet licensing changes annually to meet customer demands/usage.
- The software is used to monitor system availability and performance of several network devices, servers, and various other devices like routers, switches, and wireless access points (WAPs).
